The goal of the Service Hub is to equip each company with zone-related procedural information critical to the entity remaining SEZ compliant and maintaining your SEZ’s integrity.
An SEZ entity that wishes to move items for which they have received customs benefits from their zone to the domestic, may submit a request to the Authority, through the Business Acceleration Centre (bac@jseza.com), requesting assistance with executing this movement.
You may do so by submitting a formal letter (sealed and placed on the company letter head) with the relevant signature and addressed to the Chief Executive Officer of JSEZA.
The letter should detail the following:
The letter should be accompanied with all relevant invoices and highlight any serial/identifying numbers assigned to the assets to be moved.
An SEZ entity that wishes to move items for which they have received customs benefit out of a zone by way of disposal, may submit a request to the Authority, through the Business Acceleration Centre (bac@jseza.com), requesting assistance with executing this movement.
You may do so by submitting a formal letter (sealed and placed on the company letter head) with the relevant signature and addressed to the Chief Executive Officer of JSEZA.

NB: The entity is also required to obtain the services of a Solid Waste company that will be contracted to dispose of the items.
An SEZ entity that wishes to move items for which they have received customs benefit out of a zone by way of donation, may submit a request to the Authority, through the Business Acceleration Centre (bac@jseza.com), requesting assistance with executing this movement.
You may do so by submitting a formal letter (sealed and placed on the company letter head) with the relevant signature and addressed to the Chief Executive Officer of JSEZA.

The letter should be accompanied with all relevant invoices and highlight any serial/identifying numbers assigned to the assets to be donated.
NB: The entity is also required to submit a valid charitable organization certificate or any other documentation that indicates that the receiving entity is indeed a registered charitable organization.
An SEZ entity that wishes to move items for which they have received customs benefit from one zone to another, may submit a request directly to the Jamaica Customs Agency for assistance with executing this movement.
You may do so by submitting an IM9 Declaration Form via the ASYCUDA system specifying that the assets will be moved from one location to another. (For assistance with completing and submitting the declaration form, you may reach out to your customs broker).
Thereafter, you are required to submit an appointment via email at exportmarinekgn@jca.gov.jm.
Existing and potential SEZ entities that are seeking assistance with obtaining the relevant permits may reach out to the Authority via the email bac@jseza.com.
You may do so by submitting a formal letter (sealed and placed on the company letter head) with the relevant signature and addressed to the Chief Executive Officer of JSEZA, requesting the assistance of the Business Acceleration Centre with acquiring the required permits.
The letter should be accompanied with a letter of authorization addressed to the institution from which the permit is being sought, granting the Business Acceleration Centre permission to follow up and make enquiries on behalf of the company for the permit being applied for. You are also required to submit documented proof of the submitted application for the required permit.
Once a Zone User’s Authorization has expired, the entity will be required to re-apply for authorisation. The Authority will notify the relevant Developer of the Zone, by way of letter, of the upcoming expiration ninety (90) days prior to the expiry date of the current Zone User Authorization.
The letter will outline the required documents that are to be submitted. The entity will be given sixty (60) days to the date of the notification to the submit the required documents.
Upon receipt of all submitted documents, an Application Quality & Case File Specialist will reach out to you for further guidance and to provide you with relevant updates along the process.
An SEZ entity is able to expand their business activities and by extension, their schedule of activities, by submitting a formal letter (sealed and placed on the company letter head) with the relevant signature and addressed to the Chief Executive Officer of JSEZA.
The letter should detail the following:
An SEZ entity that is planning to close or exit a zone is required to submit a formal letter (sealed and placed on the company letter head) with the relevant signature and addressed to the Chief Executive Officer of JSEZA indicating the entity’s intention to close. The letter should be provided at least sixty (60) days prior to closure date and detail the reason for closure.
In the instances where an Occupant will be ceasing operations, the Developer of the zone is required to submit a formal letter indicating that the lease agreement and sub-concession agreement have been terminated. The letter should also include a statement of any outstanding fees and the intention for the newly vacant space.
An SEZ entity that is planning to close or exit a zone is required to submit a formal letter (sealed and placed on the company letter head) with the relevant signature and addressed to the Chief Executive Officer of JSEZA indicating the entity’s intention to close. The letter should be provided at least sixty (60) days prior to closure date and detail the reason for closure.

An SEZ entity that is seeking to expand to another location/zone should submit a formal letter to the Chief Executive Officer of JSEZA. The letter should indicate the entity’s intention to expand within their current location as well as outline the reasons for requesting an expansion and the amount of space you wish to occupy.
Kindly be advised that you will also be required to complete and submit a new application to the Authority for review.
