The beauty care industry comprises of a wide range of products that are used on the body and face to augment and enhance appearance. The beauty care sector is filled with a lot of opportunity and Jamaica seeks to take advantage of the global cosmetic market that is estimated to reach USD$ 675 Billion by the end of 2020. However, the industry does not currently have a black or people of African descent hub. Jamaica base on it geo-strategic location at the heart of the Americas, its history, its hair, shade and skin tone diversity among people of African descent and it transitional knowledge of black beauty care is positioned like no other nation in the work to develop, design, manufacture and distribute black beauty care products.
