The automotive industry has an iconic image in many countries around the world. The automotive industry is made up of a wide variety of companies and activities supportive of the design, development, manufacturing, marketing, and selling of motor vehicles and motor vehicles and parts. Jamaica’s current position as one Latin America and the Caribbean’s (LAC) leading automotive transshipment hubs is being leveraged to evolve Jamaica adding greater value particularly in parts manufacturing and remanufacturing, electric vehicles (EV) and aftercare services. There are endless possibilities for Jamaica as we seek to be the hub for the automotive sector within the LAC region.
