B & D Trawling Limited (“B&D”), began operations over thirty years ago and has been one of the pioneers of the industrial fishing industry as well as seafood export industry in Jamaica. B&D developed what is now the country’s most valuable exports, that is the harvesting and export of the Queen Conch. The development, through B&D’s research and development team, of commercial harvesting of lobsters for export in Jamaica, came to the forefront, as one of their primary business activities. Since B&D’s inception, the harvesting of the Queen Conch and Lobster, have been the two mainstays of the company. It is also anticipated, soon, to commence the exportation of Sea Cucumbers, and to be added as another mainstay export.
