Daenia is an International Trade Specialist with nine (9) years’ experience in trade policy development and negotiations, market research, business development, project proposal writing, project management, communications and applied research. Her primary areas of interests are trade and business development, youth violence prevention, small and medium enterprise development, product/service innovation, the advancement of the TVET sector, youth entrepreneurship and the monetization of the cultural and creative industries.
She has held positions at the University of the West Indies Consulting (UWIC), the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce and its agency the Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO), as well as at the Ministry of National Security.
She is also the Managing Director of Night Beauty, Jamaica’s first late night beauty salon, which offers the professional woman the services of a regular salon outside of traditional business hours. Daenia conceptualized and executed the night salon concept in Jamaica to help professional women maintain work/life balance while feeling and looking well.
She holds a MSc. in International Trade Policy and BSc. in International Relations and Spanish.
